Day 1, Friday: Hanoi – Laocai train station
AsiaTopTravel ’s guide and transportation will pick up you at your hotel, transferr you to Hanoi  rail way station for boarding  the overnight train departing to Sapa. Air-conditioned 4 berth cabin with western toilet facility. Private cabin is applicable in advance.

 
Day 2: Saturday: Lao Cai - Can Cau – Bac Ha (B,L,D)
After having breakfast, you will travel by car to Bac Ha, which is 70 km Northeast of Lao Cai. The ride is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai, where you will be taken through rural area. Situated in the mountains in border area, 20 km from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small, but very colorful market. Opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La ethnic costumes. Chinese people also come for trading. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will leave the market for Bac Ha town for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will take a walk to Ban Pho village of Nung and Flower Hmong, which is located in a small valley. The villagers grow vegetables and fruit trees. One of the most famous fruits of the area is plum. You will be able to visit a local house, where you might have the chance to taste a cup of corn wine, another famous product of the village.
Approx: 3 hour driving/ 1.5 hours walking.

 

Day 3, Sunday: Bac Ha – Sapa (B,L)
After having a morning coffee, you take a short walk to visit the old castle of the former Hmong King. From there you can have a view over the town. You will then visit the huge market of Bac Ha with its colorful array of ethnic minority people such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung who gather to buy and sell.

Morning explore Sunday colorful Bac Ha market. Check out hotel at 10.00 Am to depart for Sapa.
We have scheduled a special lunch today at a popular local eatery in Sapa town. After lunch, you enjoy walking around Sapa for exploring Sapa town.

Day 4, Monday: Sapa - Lao Chai - Tavan – Lao Cai (B, L)

Enjoy your time at leisure and late breakfast at hotel,

9.00 Am: Meet our tour expert and driver at hotel lobby to depart for the 4 hour trekking journey. Our driver will stop en route for Kodak moments on the way go downhill to Muong Hoa valley. You begin the trekking on a fairly rocky road (you need a good walking shoes for today), though Lao Chai village, a Black Hmong’s ethnic village. Then continue to Ta Van village of Giay ethnic minority people. Terrace fields are great for photographing, and cold soft drinks, beer, water can be found along the way of your trek. You will also visit local people’s house and schools en route. Travel back to Sapa to pick up yout luggage and travel downhill Sapa to Lao Cai. Visit the border crossing of Lao Cai to China.

Tonight you board a night train trip back to Hanoi.

Day 5, Tuesday: Hanoi
Arriving at Hanoi station at 0500Am in the morning. End of services.
